Hello, I’m Christy and welcome to Pastels and Proteas. I love all things pretty and oh yes, I have a fairly strong passion for cricket!
Makeup and beauty products are my biggest time wasters and I love it. One of the reasons I created this blog is to be an outlet for my incredibly over active brain and as a platform to share about all the things in life that make me smile.
Another reason for starting this world is for the girls or women out there that don’t have a clue where to start when it comes to makeup and beauty. When I started buying makeup it was very much trial and error until I found the wonderful world of Youtube and blogging! So if I could help anyone out there who walks into a store and doesn’t know where to begin then I have achieved something.
My posts are going to vary from makeup and skincare to what I have gotten up to on the weekend as well as any opinions I feel like sharing on South African cricket.
There isn’t going to be much that will be formal about this blog, I just want it to be a space to share and enjoy some of the things in life that I find fun. I hope you enjoy what I have to say!
